November and December Notes

Listen to the story and read it:

Special Thanksgiving Chinese Dumplings

You will learn about a new kind of food, Chinese and American, to celebrate Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

This semester is coming to a close. The last day of school is Thursday, December 17. The final Computer Lab will be Wednesday, December 16. Enjoy your time here.

NEWS:

Paris, France was attacked by a group of terrorists on Friday, November 13 (just a coincidence). All of Europe is concerned about this problem.
The U.S.A. is also worried, and is taking extra precautions. You will notice this if you take an airplane flight. The security procedures will be more thorough
(I hope!).

Here's a map of France. Paris is the capital city. It has many famous places, such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arch de Triumph, and the Louvre museum. (Sorry that I mixed English and French spellings.)

The statue of liberty in New York City Harbor was a gift from France to the United States in 1886:

President Obama spoke about the terrorist attacks in this video:

Finally, if you want a lot of information on what happened in Paris, France, try this link

The teacher who made this page is an ESL teacher at a school in France. Some of the information is in French, but most is in English.

The Thanksgiving holiday is next week. We will have class on Wednesday, November 25. I will be here.

From November 26 - 29, our school will be closed. This is time for you to be with your family, rest and relax. Speak some English if you have a chance. When you return to school on November 30, you'll be ready to continue your English studies.

Remember, this website is always open. Use it and the Internet to practice English, so you won't forget.
